DJ Naeem is a creative genius behind both the mic and turntables. Having already worked alongside some of the most influential DJs’ in the game, Naeem is no stranger in the music scene. In fact, his ability to seemingly blend tunes has not only moved crowds worldwide, but its also left them wanting to hear more.
Not to mention, his musical styling takes slight inspiration from genres like EDM and trap. In a word, it uses a plethora of upbeat arrangements, smooth synths, and heavy basslines.
By the end of each mix, you’ll feel more energized and ready to take on the day.
DJ Naeem grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey. His love for music began at a young age, ironically, in nightlife. Since his father owned a club, Naeem would practice learning the turntables after school daily. By the time he started high school, Naeem was asked to mix live at school dances and community events. Fast forward, and he began to DJ and at some of the most well-established nightclubs around the tri-state area, creating a name for himself and building his own entertainment company, K.O Entertainment, which caters to high-profile events.
He finds inspiration in his family and kids. “They push me and motivate me more than anyone. I do it all for them,” he adds.
More recently, DJ Naeem released his first-ever track “Big Money (feat. Mesa)” on November 5th, 2020, produced by platinum producer Cito On The Beat.
In a nutshell, “Big Money” is a feel-good dance anthem that finds DJ Naeem detailing his lifestyle, ways with women, and getting to the bag. He raps, “Fallin and ballin’ I be down on a budget/Then made it back like it’s nothing.” Additionally, he calls out the rappers “who be frontin‘” and talks briefly about his day ones. Elsewhere, his feature Mesa speaks about his exclusive drip, foreign whips, and a “bad little mama that wanna pull up to my [his] show.” Sonically, the song bridges electro-synths, kick-snares, light piano chords, and a heavy bass that doubles back on a whim.
